The project aims to modernize the financial infrastructure and enhance the efficiency and security of banking transactions.</b></p><p data-path-to-node="7,0"><span style="font-size: 1rem;"><b>Discussions between Central Bank Governor Ahmed Ghaleb and UNDP Resident Representative in Yemen Noura Hamladji addressed the latest developments in the project and ways to expedite its implementation and complete its components according to the established plans and timelines.</b></span></p><p data-path-to-node="7,0"><span style="font-size: 1rem;"><b>The two sides also discussed the necessary steps to establish a "Regulatory Sandbox" for financial technology, which will provide a secure environment for testing innovative financial solutions and technologies, and support the development of digital financial services and promote financial inclusion in Yemen.</b></span></p><p data-path-to-node="7,0"><span style="font-size: 1rem;"><b>The meeting also covered expanding cooperation in the areas of institutional support, capacity building, training and development, and leveraging the technical expertise offered by the UNDP and its international partners.</b></span></p>
