<p data-path-to-node="8,0" style="text-align: left;"><b>Socotra Archipelago Governorate is witnessing the operation of 13 solar energy projects funded by the <span data-path-to-node="8,0" data-index-in-node="67" style="">World Bank</span> and implemented by the <span data-path-to-node="8,0" data-index-in-node="87" style="">United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS)</span>, aiming to enhance the efficiency and continuity of essential services in the education and healthcare sectors across the island.</b></p><p data-path-to-node="8,1" style="text-align: left;"><b>Discussions and a field inspection by the Governor of Socotra Archipelago, <span data-path-to-node="8,1" data-index-in-node="56">Raafat Al-Thaqali</span>, alongside the organization's engineering team, reviewed the technical components of the projects, which included equipping <span data-path-to-node="8,1" data-index-in-node="144">five schools, a hospital, and seven health centers</span> with modern systems featuring a total generating capacity of <span data-path-to-node="8,1" data-index-in-node="223">382.3 kW</span> and a battery storage capacity of up to <span data-path-to-node="8,1" data-index-in-node="269">2,308.8 kWh</span>.</b></p><p data-path-to-node="8,2" style="text-align: left;"><b>These interventions aim to ensure a sustainable and uninterrupted power supply for service institutions and reduce dependence on conventional fuel, thereby enhancing the efficiency of medical services and improving the learning environment in various parts of the archipelago.</b></p>
