<p data-path-to-node="7,1"><b>A memorandum of understanding was signed in Marib City to implement a new water project aimed at enhancing water resources and expanding the supply network in the city district, funded by <span data-path-to-node="7,1" data-index-in-node="133" style="">the British organization Muslim Hands</span> and supervised by the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation.</b></p><p data-path-to-node="7,2"></p><p class="MsoNormal" dir="RTL" style="direction: ltr;"><span style="font-size: 1rem;"><span lang="AR-SA"><b>The project includes drilling and equipping two productive artesian wells in the Old Marib wellfield at a depth of 120 meters each, equipping them with integrated submersible pumps, and constructing the associated civil and electromechanical control rooms.</b></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" dir="RTL" style="direction: ltr;"><b><span lang="AR-SA" style="">The engineering deliverables also include laying a 10-inch, 1,850-meter-long main water transmission line to connect it to the primary network and the existing strategic reservoir, contributing to the enhanced sustainability of water supplies and expanding coverage for residents and internally displaced persons (IDPs).</span><span lang="AR-SA" style=""><o:p></o:p></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" dir="RTL" style="direction: ltr;"><b><span lang="AR-SA" style="">Marib City is experiencing unprecedented demographic pressure and a major expansion of IDP camps, which has reduced per capita access to clean drinking water and depleted the production capacity of existing wellfields, creating an acute water supply gap that threatens the stability of urban and public health services in the city.</span></b></p>
