Dhalea – The Lakmat Ad-Duki villages water supply project was officially inaugurated in Dhalea Governorate, funded by the World Bank through the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), aiming to enhance water services and drinking water supply for residents in the area.

The project incorporates the construction of a 125 cubic meter elevated tower tank, along with 6-inch and 4-inch pumping pipelines and transmission lines connecting the tank to the internal distribution network.

It is expected to raise the efficiency of the water system in Lakmat Ad-Duki villages by boosting storage, pumping, and transmission capacity, ensuring consistent water delivery to beneficiaries.

The inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of Dhalea Governor Major General Ahmed Qaid Saleh Al-Qubba, Deputy Governor for Projects Farouk Al-Hasani, UNOPS representative Eng. Marwan Dhafer, and General Manager of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation Eng. Omar Abdulaziz Mohammed, along with local officials and community figures.

The Governor emphasized the vital importance of water projects in meeting citizens' needs, highlighting the local authority's focus on expanding partnership with international donors for future infrastructure initiatives.
