Project Overview & Details
A strategic developmental and research project (International Code: PR-296), funded by the Benefit-Sharing Fund of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGRFA) in collaboration with FAO and the Agricultural Research and Extension Authority (AREA). The project aims at the participatory conservation and sustainable use of local crop landraces and native seeds, reintroducing them into farmers' fields to enhance rural community resilience against climate change, land degradation, and food insecurity.
